We are excited to learn that you are considering Learning by Design as your child’s early development center. As parents, we understand how important this decision is and we appreciate you inquiring about our child care services.

Learning by Design is dedicated to providing nurturing care for all of our students. The following is a summary of the daily activities for each age group:

Infants
Infants will sleep upon demand and eat according to the Food and Nutrition guidelines or parent request. Also, all infants will engage in floor activities, indoor play, outdoor play, music and being stimulated with colors, sounds and books. Most importantly they will be held and loved as all infants should be.

Toddlers
Individual teachers and care providers will work with each age group to incorporate a group plan along with and individual system. All children 12 months to 6 years must have a rest time during the day along with proper meals and snacks. Furthermore, the LBD curriculum will be provided for this age group, which will include, but will not be limited to, coloring, painting, story time and singing. Most importantly this age group needs to play and have fun. A lot of learning can happen during this time.

Preschool
This group is required to have a rest time along with proper meals and snacks. The LBD curriculum will not be as basic and will offer many opportunities for your child to grow and develop in a group setting and as an individual. We will focus on large and small motor skills, drawing, writing, coloring, cutting, painting, pasting, puzzles, etc. This group will also sing, dance, run, climb, play, and yes learn. Our goal is to prepare your child for Kindergarten.

Special Events
We will have events to celebrate special days, such as:

New Years
Valentine's Day
Mother's Day
Father's Day
4th of July (summer program)
Halloween
Thanksgiving
Christmas
Birthdays – Parents may send age-appropriate goodies for the class to celebrate their child’s birthday. Please check with the Director as to what type goodies can be allowed for all children within the Center.

Our monthly rates are tiered based on the age of your child(ren) as follows:

Age 6 weeks through 18 months $720.00 per month
Age 18 months through 2-1/2 years $640.00 per month
Age 2-1/2 years through Kindergarten $620.00 per month
